5. White Bim Black Ear

USSR, 1977
An old Soviet film based on the novel of the same name by Gavriil Troepolsky, starring Vyacheslav Tikhonov. The film is about loyalty and friendship between a dog and a man. And, at the same time, about human cruelty and indifference. Bim, who lost his beloved master, in hard situations of life behaves more nobly than some representatives of the human race…
In 1979 the film was nominated for an Oscar, but, alas, did not receive it.
